Cricket is a gentlemens game its said and all the players who were part of the Max Corporate Cricket tournament proved it right. Kudos!!!!!
On the field it was TNT who stole the show and marched on to become the deserved winners of the Gold Cup. In the finals TNT beat Wipro in a very closely contested match. Arun from TNT had a very important part to play as his hat-trick stopped Wipro from piling on a massive score. In the end Madi Alagan of TNT hit a MAX shot for 8 to seal the gold cup. A fitting end to the tournament we would say.
The Gold Cup 3rd Place Final saw Tesco beating MNE comfortably to finish the third best team of the tournament. Tesco team with its excellent fielding and bowling performance will be team to watch out in future tournaments.
The Silver Cup finals saw Strides Arco Labs take on MSFM. MSFM team was in full flow as they beat Strides in a keenly contested match. The hero of the match was Santosh of MSFM who took his team to victory with a well made 36.
SGT Global took on Inatech in the Silver Cup 3rd Place Finals. Inatech won the match by 67 runs as they posted a huge score of 104 thanks largely to the efforts of Belliappa who scored 43. SGT global never looked in the hunt as their innings folded in 5 overs.
The Bronze Cup saw Citi take on Himalaya Health in the finals. Kiran of Citi was in full flow as he took his team past 100 runs. Needing to score 126 runs Himalaya Health put up a brave fight but in the end, the all round performance from Citi helped them clinch the Bronze Cup.
Innovative rules added to the fun of the tournament as at all points of time every team felt that they had a chance to win the match. The response of the teams to the new rules was also great to watch as they improvised to make best use of them.
The entire tournament saw some great all round cricket. We hope that everyone who was part of the tournament had a great time and we look forward to the second edition of the Max Cricket Tournament.
